Default New Camry Owner - 2024 XLE

2.5l. I'm obviously in the honeymoon phase for this car, I love it so far. I'm having a hard time believing the mileage. The first tank indicated over 37 mpg (hand calculated... roughly) and the computer is telling me 38 so far on the second tank. I did not expect this and assumed a new engine would have worse fuel economy than one broken in. The sticker estimated 27 city and 38 highway. My driving has been 20% city / 80 % highway so far. I love all the features on the car. My only complaint so far is the lack of an audible warning for the blind spot monitoring during lane changes ( my last car had that and it saved me many times).

In my experience, Camry's get better highway mileage than the manufacturers state. For my 2013 LE, the sticker says 25 - 35mpg. The last long trip I got 40mpg! Normally I get 36-38 mpg on the highway. You must drive nice and smooth like me to get that much out of a gallon of gas.

You'll love the car for a very long time. I'm a car keeper and never get tired of my Camry.

your car is gorgeous. I was wondering how you liked the 19 inch wheels/tires- have you had any issues with them? I am considering the XSE in wind chill white, but the concerns on the wheels and tires is making me hesitate.
