New to Toyota
Hello, I am a 56 year old male that purchased a 2011 Camry because it was the cheapest car that meet the minimum requirements. I needed to sell my truck/tow vehicle and buy a practical/functional car at this time. I am a car person and this is the first car in a long time that was purchased for another reason then my car wants/racing, as the Camry was purchased to meet specific life changes. Week 1 over 500 miles and the auto box transmission is the only issue so far, hate it. Had the factory Blue Tooth installed and was not told that it was not capable of making voice activated, outgoing calls, but have adapted to the lower level of technology in this car, probably due to pricing.

2011 Camry Transmission
The up-shifts are OK, but driving at 25 MPH or 35 MPH is a constant search for the proper gear. The down shifts are really bad, when coasting to a stop the car down-shifts and drags, the process of coasting to a stop is less smooth then in my sports cars with me down-shifting. And the noise of the transmission is not pleasant, clunks, groans and searching for the proper gear.
