Default Noise when start, or when press gas pedal to accelerate

Hi,

My Camry recurrently make huge noise when start, or when press gas pedal to accelerate. Although there is not big noise when run without accelerate.

Do I need to replace muffler, or replace whole exhaust pipe?

Thanks in advance.

Is this exhaust noise?

There is a flex pipe exhaust pipe that goes between the engine exhaust and exhaust mounted on the chassis. This pipe flexes to allow the engine to move and not damage the chassis piping. The flex pipe can fail. If it is this pipe take the car to a muffler shop for a replacement flex pipe. Note a Toyota dealer will only replace the complete exhaust system as mounted to chassis.

Thanks Mr. Toyomoho,

I can image the parts as you mentioned, just wonder, is this the correct parts?

Amazon Amazon

And, is there any flex pipe from Toyota parts:

See link below for a 2002 Camry. As you can see Toyota only offers the complete section of exhaust having the flex pipe (No 1).

If buying aftermarket such as Amazon get the correct length and pipe diameter. The flex pipe design can be weld-on or bolt-on. The bolt-on flex pipe ends sliding over the original exhaust pipe tubes then held with muffler clamps.

Don't know the diameter of the exhaust pipe you have..
