How about the diameter of the spring? I bet it is some kind of pedal return spring. What is the year/engine/tranny of your Camry? Anything in the car not working like it should, pedals, HVAC, etc?

If you provide the year/engine/transmission of your car maybe we can dig up a diagram of the pedal springs, etc. You told me it was about 1/2" in diameter so I imagine it has to do with your pedals but we need some more info.
