My girls 93 V6LE's idle varies when I remove the dipstick, only about 50 rpm or so, but noticable. Not as obvious as when the a/c kicks on.
compression was tested last summer during a valve cover gasket/ sparkplug change and it was within 3% across all 6. It got a new pvc valve, but I'm wondering if it could have failed, thx

 

Removing dipstick causes a vacuum leak which increases the idle.
