Default Water in the trunk

Hi, hope you are doing well. I was thinking maybe you could help me with a situation I've been having with my Camry. It's a 1997 3.0L Camry. For some reason, there's water in the trunk, specially where you store your jack.
For some reason I'm not able to upload the video nor the URL, so I will paste it here. Hope some of you can help me. I'll attach my email as well just in case.
Thanks by the way!

Wow, you weren't kidding about water in the trunk!
Water in the trunk is typically either from the trunk gasket- inspect rips, make sure mating surfaces are clean and clear of debris, or taillights that could be cracked or not buttoned down enough.
Also inspect where the cable and wire harness comes into the trunk and make sure there is no damage or signs of rubbing.
Next thing to try is close the trunk, fold down the rear seats and crawl in there with a good flashlight, meanwhile, have friend hose the car off and look around.

Default Water in the trunk. Part 2 - Update

Hi guys, hope you are doing well. I'm updating this post I made like a month ago.
Basically, there are some reasons for water to leak into the trunk as someone mentioned on previous replies; could be the air vent that is in the bumper, could be the stop sign that is not sealing properly, worn-out seals around the trunk.
From what I have seen, the solution is one of those we've mentioned, changing/sealing the stop signs, disassembly of the bumper for you to reseal the air vent, changing the seals on the trunk.
At the end, I consider all this too much of a hassle, specially cause I consider stops are good, and what if you "fix" everything and water keeps getting into the trunk? I decided to drill a little hole, it may not be the best solution, but it gets the job done. Please don't get me wrong, but I considered finding what the real problem was, without succeeding is not worth it.
Here I'll show you the hole I drilled.

Gotta do what you gotta do. Drilling holes to let out the water would not be my choice, but you have taken the proper steps to avoid it rusting out. If it works, it works!
