Default 2005 camry cold start problem

Help...im going nuts!
i recently bought a 2005 4cyl camry. Car runs great...however...when its below 55 degrees outside, the vehicle will not start. And i mean...not turn over at all. I have replaced the battery, and the starter. I have all electronics working when the key is turned to the on position..but car will not crank, turn over...nothing..no sound from the engine at all. Once it warms up outside, and i get the vehicle cranked...runs great and starts easily. Any guidance is appreciated.

Any chance its related to the cars security system?

Do the dash indicator lights dim when the ign key is turned to start?

Suspect its the starter solenoid, starter relay or a bad wiring connection..

How handy are you with tools? Do you have a voltmeter or hair dryer.

When the ign key is turned to start, check for 12V at the SMALL wire going to the starter solenoid.

If you have a hair dryer direct the air at the starter to heat the starter solenoid up above 55F.

Do the same for the ign key and ign lock.

Default new development

update, heater made no difference, Starter tested and good, starter relay changes, no improvement. However, today I was trying to crank it when the temp was around 57 outside. interior was warm due to sunlight. No crank. Threw it into neutral and it fired right up! Neutral safety switch?

There is a Park/Neutral switch wired to the engine control modular. When the switch is in Park/Neutral, 12V is sent to the engine computer.

This switch is integrated into the same switch that selects the correct gear indicator light and tells the computer what gear is selected.

The switch rotates to a different electrical connection as the shifter arm moves. The switch is located on an arm that comes out of the trans having a level that is connected to a cable that goes to the shifter arm.

The switch looks like below:

The internet has lots of videos on locating the switch and replacing it.
