1991 camry on 17's pro's and con's
ok im about to go look at some 17" rims for my 1991 toyota camry but what i want to know is what the pro's and con's are with having 17' rims on this camry
the specs will be 215/40r17.. what i need to know is will the be rubbing/scrubbing issues and will this make the speedo out etc etc..

17's will be fine. you may notice a decrease in initial accelleration and a decrease in braking performance due to the greater diameter of the wheel, however if you get the proper tire size your spedometer will not have a problem, and rubbing would not be a problem. although i believe the true tire size should be 215/45/17 - double check on tirerack.
the only other thing you'd have to consider is the offset of the rims themselves, because you wouldnt want the tires to rub against your struts, or not be able to fit properly onto the car or need spaces (not recommended for just having oem studs).
but besides that, you'd notice a firmer ride and better handling.
