Default 1998 Camry ABS & Trac Error Codes

Is there a flow chart to troubleshoot ABS Traction Control error codes for a 1998 Camry XLE?

Are the Lexus and Camry ABS modules for 1998 the same? They have the same part numbers but I'm getting conflicting answers.

Is the engine a V6 or 4 cylinder?

The service manual list ABS trouble codes. The 1998 is OBDII compliant. Get a reader that reads Toyota codes and check for codes.

Is the unit being looked at one of the below:

44050-06010
44050-33020
44050-33030

Thanks for the reply....

It's a 6 cylinder.

I have 6 error codes for the ABS Traction Control::
22 Left Front Solenoids
23 Right Front Solenoid
24 Left Rear Solenoids
27 SRSC Circuit
31 Sensor
32 Speed Sensor Left Front

The units are 44540-33010 and 44050-33030

Lexus, Avalon and Camry are same unit.

44540-33010 and 44050-33030 are interchangeable.

44050-33030 my be discontinued.

22 LF Solenoid Possible cause = ABS & TRAC, ECU
23 RF Solenoid Ditto
24 LR Solenoids Ditto
27 SRSC Circuit issue plus ABS & TRAC, ECU
31 RF Sensor Possible cause = speed sensor or rotor, ECU
32 LF peed Sensor = ditto

Only common issue for all codes is ABS ECU.

Check for wiring issues causing the host of sensors codes. Check for debris or damage at wheel sensors.

If needing parts try Ebay or Craigslist.

Thank you very much for your quick response. I'm going to try troubleshooting as soon as we get a warm day (northeast).
