Default Auto Tranny Problem

hi, i am an owner of a 97 camry Le which has about 168000 miles. I think there's something wrong with my tranny. My car is having difficulty switching gears up. If i don't ease the gas, my rpm would redline. So to swtich gears, i would need to lessen the pressure on the brakes. Do you know what is the problem and what are the solutions to that problem?

my friends have suggested that i need to add tranny fluid or there is something wrong with the ecu. i am not sure what the problem is. can u tell me what your take on it is?

thank you

i would check the tranny fluid, and hunt around for a tranny shop..maybe see what they say, and get a second opinion.

Mine did that the other night after I changed the fluid.Change your fluid, and flush the tranny with seafoam tranny flush, and make sure you put plenty of fluid. Also, use a high dollar tranny fluid (hurst can be found at advanced auto,i dont know where else) or royal purple
