Default can you jack the Camry up at the front control arm

Hey guys, I'm doing some maintenance on my sons 2016 Camry SE while he's off doing Air Force things... need to do his front brakes. Anybody know if you can safely lift the front wheels individually at the lower control arms? done this on my 4Runner but not sure about this vehicle.

You want to apply the jack under the lower control arm?

if safe to do so from a loadbearing standpoint, yes

I think it would be better to jack the car at the notated spots just behind the front wheels, like where they indicate to use the onboard jack point.
I do always take the time to use a block of wood so I am not going metal on metal.
I just figure they mark that spot for a reason.
Is there a particular reason you want to jack under the control arm?

just that it's generally easier lifting one wheel, than one corner of the vehicle high enough for the the suspension to clear the deck. always done that with my SUV's no problem but I did hear from Toyota since I made my original post....big no-go on the Camry. so I'm lifiting at the pinch welds and putting jack stands under the frame.
