Default How to Soften Ride

Hi all,
I have 1992 camry xle v6 and the car just booms over bumps. Is this normal for a 92camry? I have a friend with a 93corolla and his car rides just a bit rougher than my camry. I drove 96corolla and it was nowhere near as rough as the 93, even softer than my 92camry!

Can anyone please confirm that toyota did have changes for the suspension on a year to year basis? Someone who works for a toyota dealership maybe?

My car is the XLE and I expect it to ride softer than the SE. And if mine rides the way it does, then the SE would probably ride like a kidney bustin go-kart.

Also, can I swap springs from any year between 1992 and 1996 camry for a softer ride?

Thanks for the replies.
