I just bought a camry, and the steering is stiff and it is pulling towards right. The seller said its a minor wheel alignment problem, but i got it checked and its not alignment. What could it be ?

its a 2003 Model.

 

Put the front of the car on jacks and turn the steering wheel, engine on and off.

It is possible the steering column shaft u-joint at the bottom of the shaft is bad or steering shaft is binding. Or could be a bad power steering pump or binding steering gear box.

Do some testing and narrow down the area.

When the front end up on jacks check for wheel bearing binding, loose suspension parts (grab the tire at 3 and 9 oclock and shake it), binding parts, bad tires and low air pressure.
