95 Camry Issues
i have a 95 camry le 4 cyl and i got real low on my gas to the point it acted like it ran out. i filled it up and it kept sputtering almost like i lost a cylinder and still does. it has a bad miss and when you hit the gas it loses power but still moves forward. i put new spark plugs in and they are running lean but ive also put a new cap, ignition button, fuel filter, o2 sensors, and coil on and still hasnt made an improvement. i need help and i dont have the money to take it to a shop. could it be the fuel pump?
The pump is cooled by fuel, running too low on fuel can cause damage. Or perhaps an issue wit the fuel pressure regulator.
Fuel pressure should be 38-44 psi engine on or off with fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose disconnected. 31-37 with hose connected.
The is a small plastic box mounted on the passengers side suspension upper strut mount tower. Inside the box are electrical terminals. Jump the FP and B+ terminal and the pump should now run with the ign switch in the on position.
