97 Camry oil light comes on when cars is not running
My 1997 Camry LE's oil light comes on, and stays on, when I shut off the car. With the car off, key out of the ignition, the light stays on. It turns off after the car starts. I replaced the pressure switch, but the problem persists. When I disconnect the connecting wire to the pressure switch, the light goes off as well. The port into the block looks clear.
Thanks for the reply! Yes, the seatbelt light is on. However, it does not go off when the car starts.
Early on, I discovered that the gauge fuse was blown... So the light was still coming on even without the fuse in operation. I replaced the fuse and the same symptoms occurred. When I pull the new fuse, the light stays on, which makes no sense at all. Again, car starts, light goes off.

A circuit may be back feeding into the electrical buss the seat belt and oil pressure light receive power from.
Start by checking the wiring harness between the trunk lid and chassis for fraying and damage.
