Default Popping in steering wheel when turning

Hello All,
I have a 2013 Camry Hybrid. About 6 months back I started hearing and feeling a popping sound coming from my steering wheel/steering wheel column when I would turn right or left. I've taken it to Toyota 4 times now and they can not figure out where the sound is coming from. Any help?

Check for binding at the steering column "U" joint.intermediate shaft joints.

Open hood. Look on drivers side of engine compartment in the area under the brake reservoir for the steering shaft extending out of the firewall. The intermediate shaft is attached to this shaft. It connects the steering column shaft to the steering rack.
