Default Cleaning INSIDE of Instrument panel 'Glass'

2000 LE
I have some sort of whitish spots inside the "glass" (prob plastic) cover over my instrument panel. Maybe they are from prev owner cleaning and the moisture condensation dried inside, I don't know. But is there a way (reasonably easy) to remove the pane and clean it and replace it?

Is this a common problem ? These spots?
I have never found another mention of it on line anywhere yet.

thanks

I have a 99 camry and the other day I noticed that there are two screws underneath the top part of the instrument panel casing (the part the overhangs). Try removing those two screws and see if you can get the housing to budge. If so, the glass/plastic should pop right out.

Ok, so mine's an '04 LE and I started f-cking with it. There's a piece of the dash above the steering wheel that pops off. Then, there's two screws holding the panel in. Remove those, the whole instrument panel comes out. Then, there's 4 screws holding the panel together. Remove those, then push in the tabs, and the plastic front comes off. Problem is, those whitish spots won't come off. Cheap f-cking plastic. It looks 100x better than it did, but still ****ty. Oh well.
