Hey guys, i searched the threads for anything similar and didnt come up with anything. Here it is
2018 camry with the JL audio package. Has the factory amp. I have an LOC that i want to use, but dont know where to tap the speaker wires. Before the factory amp, or after? Front speakers, or rear? Any help would be appreciated.
Line out converters typically install AFTER the factor amp (into the wiring going to a cars speaker); The signal from the factor amp is high (lots of audio amp output).
There are some LOC's that have multiple types of signal inputs. This being for high and low signals. High is the signal going to the speakers and low is the signal going to the say the cars factory amp which has extremely low amp (milliamps).
You want to input the signal from the factory amp going to a speaker into the HIGH LEVEL INPUT of LOC. The connection is typically a normal bare end wire and NOT an RCA plug.
If you have the make and model number of the LOC post back.
Notice in the linke below the LOC pictured having both a HIGH attachment (wire) and LOW level plug in (RCA input).
