Help With Installation Of A Audio System, 1997 Toyota Camry
I would like to install a system of 2 sub woofers in a sealed sub woofer enclosure into the trunk of my car.
To do this i know i need an amplifier.
Can you please tell me or refer me to a site where i can learn how to install these parts and why i need these parts and how many parts would I need.
Your Answers are Greatly Appreciated.
Thank You

If using your current stereo system you need a sub amp and additional speakers.
There are two choices in sub amp design.
One is a sub amplifier having Hi-Level inputs that connect directly to your current amp speaker output wires.
The second sub amp design does not have these inputs. You need to install a "line output device" between your speaker outputs wires and this sub amp. The device converts the high output signal to low output suitable for this amps design.
Both amps designs and the line input box are common.
Wire splice kits can be used that tab into the currenty wiring without cutting them.
The Crutchfield website has a lot of info on car stereo installation or give them a call.
