Default 1995 Camry LE V6 / Repair Grommet For Floor Mat Hook Hole

Thought this could help someone out.

I wanted to repair my floor mat clip (broke) and floor carpet grommet for drivers side so carpet mat stays in place.

Parts -

Floor Mat clip - 08210-00820

Retainer for floor carpet hole - 58297-50020

The carpet mat has it own grommet and is steel and in good shape.

(Glad I bought as a combo kit. My old retainer for floor carpet hole was still intact, original, but was slightly smaller. This would not fit the floor mat clip setup or retainer. Widened the carpet hole with a drill)

Took me 10 minutes

Floor Carpet retainer

The retainer for the floor carpet has two parts top and bottom that snap together in the hole. I removed trunk and gas lever next to seat to get under the carpet. Large disc goes on bottom and small disk on top. See pictures.

Floor Mat Hook Hole

This just pushes into the floor carpet grommet hole and a tab locks it in. See pictures.
