2000 Camry LE (5S-FE) Brake Bleeding Problem
I got the car last week and finally bled the brakes today.
Prior service history is unknown.
Before bleeding the brakes, they performed fine, ie no sponginess of low pedal.
I've bled brakes for 20 years and never had this problem.
First, the brake fluid was full and had 0% water.
The right side and driver's front bled fine.
The driver rear wheel was seized onto the drum; heat and hammering loosened it.
There were no leaks around the bleeder valve.
When I loosened bleeder valve and had my assistant push on the brakes, no fluid came out. We tried this several times, no fluid. I put the bleeder valve back on and the brakes were firm and fine.
I'm doing other repairs, so I can't test drive the car to check out the brakes
However, when I raise that wheel and have the other person press on the brakes, they work.
What's going on?
