Default 2010 Camry TPMS

Wife has a 2010 Camry & yesterday the light for the tpms came on. I checked tire pressure & inflated the tires to 34psi which is noted on the door jamb. I tried to reset the light with the button located in glove box but nothing happens, the light does not flash 3 times. I drove the car hoping the light would reset but no luck. She just got this car about 3 weeks ago & we don't know what maintenance was done on it. It has 93000 miles on it. Dont tell me to tape over the light because I'll never hear the end of it from her. Lol. Any ideas?

Did you follow the reset procedures in the owners manual for the type of ign key, smart or non-smart?

Does the spare tire have a sensor?

What's the diference in the keys? I'm not sure about the spare but I'll check the tire pressure on it. Thanx for responding.

Procedure is to:

Set all tires at the same pressure. If you think the spare has a sensor, also set this tire.
Press and hold TPMS reset for 3 sec plus with ignition switch on. Light should blink 3 times.

If the light blinks, wait 2-3 minutes with ign system on to complete reset.

During reset procedure the TPMS computer is looking to receive signals from all the registered tire sensors. If it doesn't receive them it doesn't reset. Or could be a TPMS computer issue.

It is possible with the correct ODBII/CAN scanner software to determine if the sensors are working OK. Correct as in the scanner can read Toyota TMPS.codes.

There is also something called loop mode, where the TMPS system goes into this and needs to be reset via the OBDII system.
