Default 92 Camry Window help needed!!

I started having a problem with the driver's side window on my 92 camry. The window would be sluggish in going down and up. Then one day, it completely stopped moving. I opened the door up and found the regulator blown up. The enclosure that holds the cables had broken open.

I ordered a new regulator online and installed it without a problem. But when I tried to get the window up or down, it wouldn't move.

Here's the puzzle:

When the window is taken out, the regulator works fine. It raises and lowes without issue. When I put the window in and 1 (ONE) bolt is connect to the window clip, the window raises and lowers fine. The problem is that the second bolt doesn't line up right. What I have to do to make it fit is connect the window and then push the piece to fit into the holes in the door. I think this is the cause of the problem.

So here's the question: Do I drill the regulator bracket to allow for a better fit or can I remove one of those clips on the bottom of the window and reposition it for a better fit??

Default Can the window clips be moved/removed?

After connecting the power window regulator, the window is so sluggish to go up and down.

If I take the window out, the regulator bracket raises and lowers without a problem.

It looks like the clips on the bottom of the window don't perfectly line up. When I "make" it fit, it's so tight that the window gets caught up.

Can those clips on the window be removed and reattached in a better spot?

I have the same problem with my 93 camry. Sometimes it will work but sometimes it will go weeks at a time where it won't move. eventually it starts working again but is always sluggish. I was considering replacing the motor and see how that goes. I'll let you know when I do. No point in wasting the time on it if it don't fix it.

Default Might be the solution

Havent happened to me but i bet your problem is not even in the motor its has to be build up or corrosion due to harsh outside weathers...cause if u said u replaced to motor and it still has the problem then try taking the door panel out and cleaning the rubber seals on the inside and outside of the door on the window.....
