92 door repair question
Guys really need your help...
have a 92 camry w/190K and will probably run til 390K. love the car. Problem=wife had an accident and driver's door (4dr) is a wreck. shop est is 1K. can not swing that--too much money right now. I've found some doors but my question is this:
what year camry doors are the same? Found a site that said 92-96 are all the same but Just trying to confirm.
also, looks like it's not a bad job but any suggestions or helpful hints?
matching paint will be a pain and still cost big $$$ but don't think I have any options there...
much thanks in advance

Not sure. The 92-96 are the same generation of Camry. The inside and outside handles appear the same.
This range of models had around 15 color types, the 92 had 8 colors.
The manual states to first adjust the forward/reverse and vertical door location by loosening the body side hinge bolts. Then adjust the in/out and vertical door position by loosening the door side hinge bolts.
Once the above is done, adjust the door lock striker plate on the body.
If possible you might take note of the current door/body gaps to aid in adjusting the new door.
You might ask at the Toyotanation website.
