Default Driver window problems?

Need help with what might be going on with my power window on the drivers side? The window will raise and lower with no problems but when it reaches the top when rolled up it doesn't stop it keeps wanting to roll up making a machine gun sound until i let off the button. Any ideas of what might be going on?

What year car?

When enough torque is applied to the motor output shaft (windows reaches up/down position), it should stop and eventually shut down because of overload protection.

The motor has a plastic gear that drives the regulator. The gear could be becoming stripped and now skipping when the window reaches the top. The motor output shaft is then never over torqued, the motor keeps running.

Remove the door panel and watch the operation of gearing.

Unhappy 2010 Drivers Window sticks at top

I have a bit different drivers side window problem. I do have a platinum warranty 0 deductible till 6/2016 and 20,000 miles left(till i hit 100,000) and i have the dreaded drivers side window sticking at the top problem - sounds like it will break when nit breaks free to begin lowering it - seems as if from other posts that the dealers can't find a fix? I believe i will take the time and have them try to fix it before winther? I have tried all the groove cleaning procedures suggested in the previous (old) posts.
I don't go to the dealer - I have a 2005 camry that has yet to need a repair other than an exhaust flex piece( bought on amazon and pd. garage $100 to put it on - too old to get under there and beat on rusted bolts because of rust from short trips, and this 2010 camry has yet to see the shop.
Thanks again for the good ideas on the battery and anything on the driver window sticking in the up position would be greatly appreciaed!

Unhappy 2010 Camry Drivers side window sticking

Went to dealer, service rep looked over window sticking and binding when just starting down, agreed and said something is not right down inside. i said here is the warranty and i wanted to make arrangements for a rental etc. (grandkids car sets in rear and need to know length of time etc there i days we need to cart the kids around). he needed to see the warranty "specialist" who promptly told him - not broken. he said they would have an hr. in labor to look at it but looked like if nothing was broken i would pay??? - for what??? so i guess wait till it breaks?????????????
I wonder if i should fight it and mention the 2009 recall on the problem - or just wait till it shatters in my left ear?

Can you post video of window problem?

Might try the dry spray lube (surprised dealer did not do this for free if thought it would help).

Read the warranty, is this an official Toyota warranty or something from a 3rd party? Dealers sell both. If a Toyota warranty read the info at link below.

Take note of starting at the dealer and working up and read the posts (ignore the poster ranting among themselves).

As to the recall, call another dealer and ask if the 2009 recall applies to your car based on VIN number or try the link below:
