Finally cleaned Throttle Body & MAF Sensor, & Idle Relearn afterwards (Video)
Since TB is sitting way in the back, I was thinking it was going to be a hassle to remove everything to clean the TB and put this off, but actually, it turned out to be pretty easy.
After TB & MAF cleaning, RPM shot up to 1800 to 2000 on idle, and gradually settled down to 900-1000 area.
So, I did this Idle Relearn and the idle stabilized at ~700.
1. Turn off all accessories and lights
2. Turn the key to the ON position for few seconds (but don't start the car)
3. Turn the key to the OFF position for few seconds
4. Turn the key to the ON position again for few seconds (but don't start the car)
5. Now start the engine
6. Push in the Parking Brake
7. Push down and hold the Brake pedal
8. Put the car in Drive gear (while holding the brake pedal!!!)
9. Stay that way for 5 minutes.
10. Put the gear in Park and take off the Parking brake
If these steps worked, then your idle should stabilize.
Could be my imagination, but I feel like car's idle is more smooth and maybe even
have little bit more power on initial take off from stop.
