There are rebuilt kits for the valve body, look on internet for U241E valve body.

Car seems like it's driving well. I realize that over the last year what I thought was an intermittent miss, was probably a transmission problem. I replaced Coil Packs, Fuel Injectors, and O2 sensors because it occasionally would notice what I thought was a slight miss when accelerating/decelerating at highway speeds. I think this was a problem with overdrive, but it didn't throw any DTC Codes.

I received a second p0766 code. This time I was stopped with car running for about 10 minutes waiting for family while they were running errands. I reset it again, and it's stayed off.

I looked in my Chiltons & Haynes Manuals for transmission removal instructions, and noticed they are in section with engine removal. There is a note that says, manufacturer recommends removing transmission & engine simultainiously. This must be the reason for very little info in the transmission section.

Hopefully, I won't have to do the swap, but I'm gathering info.

Does anyone have info regarding problems that would be fixed with valve-body rebuild? I noticed the kits aren't very expensive, and I think I could do this with tranmission in the car.

Thanks Again for all the help!

The valve body could have debris causing plugged passages, sticking valves, etc. The solenoid may be working but these issues cause the valve(s) not to respond.

Or could be the torque converter clutch or something internal to trans.
