Not sure how to get this done.
Hi I am hoping that someone could lead me in the right direction. I am looking for a remote starter for my wife's 2009 Camry LE. I am looking for the most affordable and cheapest option for a remote starter. Not to mention it's cold here in Canada.
Hi RainSon -
The simple direct answer is - it's not that easy. Many shops will not install aftermarket kits they are not familiar with, which would be the cheap ones. Many will only install the expensive kits from the big alarm companies. At least that is what I have heard. I bought a remote start kit, as well as a push button kit, for my 2009 SE. I haven't installed it yet, and it has been almost two years the thing has sat in a box, so maybe this warm season I will get to it (too cold to futz with it outside right now).I can;t tell you if what I bought is any good, but it was about $100 I think. Have to go look to see what it was I bought...

Thank you for your contribution, I have found a few affordable starters. I am very hands-on so I am hoping to do this by myself. If possible, as shops usually are expensive.
Good luck! I've been holding off on the remote start and the push button start kit until I get my car port built, as I imagine I will need to work across a weekend or two. When I eventually get it done I will be posting up a DIY on the site I moderate at, will have to remember to post up here as well. When you do it let us know so we can follow along!
