Rear Main Seal
Hi everyone, I have a 1996 Toyota Camry with a 2.2L 4cyl. Automatic. I recently did the rear main seal on it with no issues. However, I am currently putting everythingback together with a little difficulty. When I removed the transmission from the engine I had trouble removing the passenger side CV Axle. The bearing that runs through the motor mount is sezied. So what I did was remove the rear engine mount. Now, as everything, is coming back together, that's part of the problem. I cant seem to line the engine, transmission, or rear motor mount to bolt anything back together. Any suggestions? I unfortunately dont have an engine crane or anything similar. I've done everything on jack and jack stands.
Is the trans bell housing fully engaged to the engine (no space between the two)? If there is a space, don't try to snug it up! Post back first.
Can you line up and engage the trans mount as a reference point? Then the front mount. Then work on the rear.
