Default Main Req Light

Mine is on and I have changed the oil at 1000 miles and 3000 miles. My 07 Camary has 5000 miles on it now.

The owners mamual says have inition switch on andpush the trip reset for 5 sec.

I tryied that and it did not work.

Light still on.

I'm I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance

i have an 05camry but the method is the same here it goes

Get in the car.
Hold down the trip button with the key in the off position. Hold down the trip stickfor 10seconds then while holding down the trip button turn the key on to the run position. DO NOT START THE CAR. Continue to hold the trip button for another 10 seconds and you should see a series of dashs ----- ---- --- -- - this ensures its done properly and all should be done.

This light will come on every 5k as a oil change dummy light. Hope this helps if not your doing something wrong

Its a very simple procedure. I have an 05 camry but the method is the same.

1st get in the car put the key in the iginition but leave it in the off position. Hold the trip stick for 10seconds with the key in the off position. Then while holding down the trip stick turn the key to the run position but DO NOT START,and continue to hold the trip stick for another 10seconds , you should see a series of dashs or lines. ----- ---- --- -- - something sorta like that and then you can release the trip stick, this ensures everything is reset properly. Whatever you do dont let up on the trip stick or youll have to do this all over agian so its important that you note this.

This is a dummy oil change light that will come on every 5k. Its better you know how to reset this thing now sense youll be getting use to it.
