Default Removing seat belt

Hey everyone,
new member here,
I have got a 2004 camry and the seat belts aren't retracting as smoothly as I'd like. Couldn't find a post about this although I'm sure there is one.
Any advice or good videos?
Thanks.

Check the belt for twisting. However typically its the retractor mechanism.

Set links below for suggestions.

Note that some retractors have a pretension system tied to the airbag system. When the airbag goes off, the pretension system snugs the belt up. If the retractor has such a device, it may complicate things.

The best advice is to replace the belt system with a new or refurbished one. There are aftermarket units available.
