My son in law broke off the backup camera from the bracket, thinking it was a truck latch. Looks like the bracket is broken and half gone, too. I have ordered a replacement, but need some advice on how to change it. I know I'll have to take the liner off the trunk lid. Looks pretty cramped where the bracket goes. Any advice?

From experience do suspect once you remove the liner you will find there is enough room to work.
