Default Trunk Latch Override?

Hi All,

I have a 2008 Toyota Camry SE 2.4L 4-cyl

I know on some of the newer cars that Toyota is manufacturing they have a button to override the key fob from opening the trunk.

The trunk latch was broken and I replaced it, reconnected everything, but the solenoid is not firing to release the trunk through the key fob. I have double checked the valet feature and the trunk opens fine with the manual release in the cabin and with the key when I insert it into the trunk.

Is there some kind of manual override that I am missing, or does the solenoid need to be replaced.

Thank you,

If you turn the trunk lock CCW with master key or smart key the wireless remote will not work.

Check owners manual for details.
