Default 2001 Toyota Camry - Changed Battery, Low Idle, Engine Shaking

Hello,

My 2001 Toyota Camry had its battery changed about a week ago and the first time driving it after I did that, the car has been barely idling. It hasn’t stalled yet but once up to temperature, it idles anywhere from 100-300rpm at most.

The exhaust and catalytic converter were fixed.
I have installed new spark plugs.
I have NOT cleaned the IAC valve yet.
I have tried two different idle relearn procedures online.

Has anyone experienced this problem with this 2001 Model Year?

For this type of problem, you will need a scanner and someone who knows how to read it. Not just look for codes. Hope you know someone who can help you.

Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery can cause idle issues for a time. Most likely the situation will straighten itself out over time. Try this first before doing any repairs.
