Default 2013 wont start when lights on automatic

I have a 2013 camry. It had been great but recently has given a lot of trouble. It will randomly just die while driving. There are no error codes my reader can detect. Yesterday it would not even attempt to start. It did not click, crank, or anything. I just randomly turned my lights from auto to off and it fired right up and ran great. When I would switch back to automatic it would immediately die. I have no idea what is causing this. Any help would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks

What happens if (lights turned to off), start the car, then turn the lights to "on", not the auto setting but the actual ON setting?

The car starts great with lights off. No click no crank nothing with lights on auto and lights fully on. Starts and immediately dies on the middle setting. Something with the lights? No idea what that would be.

Do you have to charge the battery at all in between all this starting or can you do these experiments for a while with no issues?

No charging. The battery is good and fully charged.

It sounds like you have a short and I would start with the headlight switch, then I would move on to check the relays.
Hunting electrical gremlins can be tedious. I wish i had an obvious answer for you. Also, double check all your grounds like from the battery, engine block, starter, etc. Start with the big grounds.
