AC button wont stay on

Default AC button wont stay on

I have a 2003 and the AC button wont stay on when you push. Does anyone out there had the same problem?? I just call the dealer and I was told I had to replace the entire panel at $550.00there is got to be a way to either replace it or repair, Please Help.

you have to replace the entire panel???- wth?.. if you can't buy the switch by itself, wait for one on eBAY. OR, you always have the option of going to a different reputable mechanic instead ov the stealership.

is the ac light flashing, cause if i'm correct. this year had a tsb for an ac relay problem

My 01' does the same thing whenever I push in the AC button. Sometimes the light comes on and sometimes it dosent. It dosen't bother me, just another push of the button switches it on so i dont really stress over it as much.

Took the car to the Stelership and even the service mgr was surprise that the entire panel needed to be replace and yes the button is broken I just bought a complete panel on Ebay for 24.95 and save about 600.00 Now my question is how hard is to remove the panel? do I need to buy a special tool? Please advise
