this year should not have a rev limiter and if you are repling to the governor for the trany...you can't just disconnect it..your trany will not shift properly....your better of tightening the throttle cable for the trany..but do it at your own risk of damaging your transmission.

from what i have heard and seen done, the only way to remove the gov limter is by a comp re flash. and a rev limter is there so you wont blow teh engine. and not sure how you would remove the rev limiter but if you so how find a way to remove it, like toyoboy said, do it at your OWN risk..

all it does is to prevent you go stop increasing your speed once hit certain point.

example, let just say my camry was governor at 120 mph and once my speedo hits 120 mph it'll stop increasing speed.

performances wise, it doesnt do much but prevent you to go over certain speed. and the only way from what i have seen is to re-program the computer. and performance wise probably wouldnt notice much accpet your top speed will be much greater.

and as governor for your, im pretty sure it does not have one since my ('95) camry doesnt.

the rev limiter is there to prevent you from over revving which causes the enigne to over heat/throw a rod/blow the engine.
