Default help with factory pioneer stereo security

hi guys, newbie here, please be gentle

the battery in my 96 widebody camry went flat, so ive changed the battery in it that has a OEM Pioneer premium sound system with security PIN feature. (double DIN tape deck with 6 stacker)
the security feature activates when there is no power source

problem is we've forgotten the PIN number for the pioneer system.

is there a way to reset it or turn it off without taking it to Toyota and getting charged for it?

help appreciated
thanks

EDIT: sorry ive put this in the wrong forum... can a mod please move []

Suggest you find the model and serial number on the radio then call or go down to the dealers part department. Some require proof of ownership, charge a fee, etc. Others are willing do it over the phone or by fax for free.

Don't make more then 9 attempts at guessing or the radio will lock down and need to be removed to reset the code.
