Jump Start Nightmare
Hey Gurus, New to the group just looking for some help on my daughter's car. Her idiot, no good loser, boyfriend (don't start me 
) tried to do the right thing and help her out when she left her lights on overnight, on her 2007 Camry. He reversed the jumper lead polarity and now the thing will not start after a battery recharge. Battery and all fuses seem fine. Is there a fusible link or something similar in this beast. Possibly any other areas where I can focus. Your help is appreciated. DB

Is the cars electrical completely dead? Or does the starter motor turnover but engine does not start?There is a "fusible link" but not sure it's an actual link versus a onetime push-in fuse. This fusible link is the first fuse for the cars electrical systems. If its blown nothing will work. Check if other electrical items work such as head lights.
If nothing works, there may be two positive battery cables coming off the + battery terminal. The smaller one would be fused. Follow this cable to a box. Open box and check for +12v at end of cable to determine if there is a blown fuse in battery cable itself. Also look for a long narrow plastic fuse bar in the box which could be the "fusible link".
The car has the typically low amp push in blade type fuses plus high amp fuses that are bolted to the fuse panel. Check the high amp fuses. There is a fuse box behind the driver's side dash panel ashtray/coin box left of the steering wheel. Remove the ash tray/coin box lid to access.
If its a bolted in high amp fuse will need to access the rear of the fuse circuit board to unbolt the fuse from the wiring. The internet would have videos of how to do this.
Typically reversing jumper cables blows a fuse(s). Sometimes the cars ECU also blows but this is rare. If its the ECU shop Ebay for used ECU's at very reasonable prices . When buying get the exact same part number as on the car!
If the electrical system still has some power, check which systems work and post back, This will help narrow down which fuses may be blown.
