I just purchased a used 2011 Camry LE and a standard key was all the dealer included. Needless to say they "couldn't" tell me if it was equipped with keyless entry. I got a great deal on the car so yes or no it didn't really matter but that is a feature I would like to add if the car is not already setup. So to complete my long story... How do I determine if it is setup with the system and if so where do I look for the remotes and that would be followed by how do I handle programing? Thanks for looking!

 

If it was the base model it would not have this remote function.

Start with the owners manual to determine what options the car has.

If not installed you will need a complete system having the remote control and control unit for the car. The unit would plug into the cars wiring.

Call a dealers part department and ask what is available. Toyota had systems that were installed at the factory, dealer and DIY installed. These systems could be alarms with remotes or just a door remote.

If Toyota has a system available as DIY it would come with the remote and instructions for installation and operation.

Once you have all the info, if something is available do pricing on the internet to get the best deal.

 

Should be on an LE model. CE doesn't have it.
