Default Power Lock Problem

Hi i'm new here. I just bought a 1997 Camry with 187000 miles for 2450. The problem I have is that I press the unlock button on the remote and the doors unlock. The only problem is my driver's side door shows that it is unlocked, however I can't open the door? Is there a simple solution to this or should I take it to a garage?

Can you open the door from inside?

The system uses steel rods to transmit the forces. Plastic clips keep the rods from falling off the lever arms, etc. A plastic clip may have broke resulting in a rod falling off.

You will need to take off the door panel and look around for the problem. Door panel removal is pretty easy.

Yea, I can open the door from the inside. That is probably it, I'll look into that this weekend.
