reversing light

Default reversing light

bulb ok but lamp does not light up is it on a fuse

Year of car?

The wiring harness in the trunk spilts off to the trunk lid and then reverse lights. This area can be damaged due to trunk usages, check for broken wires.

wiring ok still no light , its a 1997 model any clues

Power comes from the Gauge fuse.

Check if power is getting to the lamp sockets, the wiring ground point and switches.

If a manual trans there is a backup light switch on the trans.

If auto, the system uses the Park/Neutral switch.

Default reversing

power seems to be flowing,is the switch under the gear lever cover in the car or outside underneath the car directly under the gear lever. cheers
