99 Camry LE transmission problem
My car is a 99 Camry LE. I sent it in to get a transmission fluid flush, and now they say there's a problem with the transmission in that it doesn't shift gears correctly. The fluid they use was the proper ATF, and now it needs to be sent to a transmission shop to be taken apart and fixed.
I'm just wondering, if I'm getting screwed. When I brought the car in, there was nothing indicating a transmission problem. There was some weird sound with the brake, and that was it. I've heard that after a flush all the build-up might get dissipated and clog the pumps whatever, but how would it make gears not shifting right?
So I'm just wondering if it's even possible to have a transmission problem with a Japanese car only after 10 years. My biggest concern is that before sending it in, there was no signs indicating a problem. The mileage on the car is 105,000
