after filter change...
Hi everyone,
I was changing the engine air filter on my 07 Camry and after that I happened to started up the engine without plugging back the plugs connecting to the filter. I shifted into drive and it wasn't rolling or anything and so I gave it a little gas and no response obviously. My question is, by doingthat am I doing serious harm to the engine? Is it going to cause something really bad to the motor or the tranny?? [] Thanks guys, any response will be much appreciated, I'mreally worry now......

Should be OK, reconnect everything then drive the car. It might drive strangely for a few minutes while the computer readjusts.
If the Check Engine Light comes on this could be the result of starting the engine with the sensors disconnected. The computer (and light) can be cleared by anyone with a OBDII reader.
