Default Camry LE – Steering/Pedal question

Camry LE – Steering/Pedal question

Hello.

I have a 2007 Camry LE. I recall hearing or reading somewhere that the steering and gas pedal were different than some other cars in that they were highly computer-assisted or something of that nature. Reason I ask is that the steering is “softer / looser / more “play” in the wheel” than my previous car (Sebring sedan). And the gas pedal seems more sensitive.

Does this sound right/indicative of Camry LE? Where can I find out more about this computer system I heard about?

Thanks

like i told you at the other web site you posted this to, it's NORMAL......you have "drive by wire" accelerator, and "electronic assist" power steering......... there isn't any more "play" in the wheel, you turn the steering wheel, the front wheels turn....as i said there, and i'll say it here...that's a simple concept.........
