I have a 2002 Camry LE with a 4 cylinder engine. Recently, I have had problems when accelerating and the transmission won't shift into 4th gear on the freeway. It also will not downshift sometimes so it stays in a higher gear when going up a hill for example. I took it to the dealership and they said that the computer told them the gas pedal is broken (the sensors inside of it) and that was the code it was giving to their scan tool as well. They were able to shift into 4th gear using the tool. Where could I find a new gas pedal assembly for this car? Any junkyards that you would recommend? The dealership wants $400 for this part.
