i am doing a head gasket change on a 93 camry 4cyl and am wanting to know if i can take the cams out of my old engine and swap in the new engine

 

Have done this on other engines. Don't think the cam bearing bores were sized for each cam.

Suggest checking bearing clearances if only by making sure the cam rotates freely when the caps are torqued down. You can also use a Plastigage, should be 0.0010-0.0024 with a max of 0.0039 inch. Of course recheck valve clearance.
