Trying to get some honest opinions on the Toyota Camry engine options because I’m helping someone decide whether to repair or replace theirs. We found a 2012 toyota camry engine locally with decent mileage, but it’s hard to tell what’s normal wear and what’s a red flag on these. Some folks say they’ll run forever with basic maintenance, while others mention oil consumption or timing issues showing up as they age.
