Default high idle when starting

hi all,
my car, camry 2000 - 60,000 miles, got a very high idle (1800 rpm) when starting, and it takes about 3 minutes to go down to normal. Can someonelet me knowwhat is the problem with my car, and how to fix it. Thank you.

like the other guy already said....

you mean start up the car in the cold morning....

if in the morning then... its a normal.... because the engine need little bit of exercise to warm up before the car can run...

Thanks for your answers. Yes, I start my in car in the morning. But my wife car, camry 1999, 125000mi, doesn't has that problem. The Idle is about 1400 rpm, then go down to normal just a minute.

This is normal. It has nothing to do with "exercise" as previously posted. It's to speed up the warm up process to reduce emissions.
