My first guess is it is one of the seals we replaced although the oil drip doesn't seem to be coming from the timing belt cover.

I do remember the parts guy at Toyota mention replacing another seal or gasket that was under the valve cover gasket.

The oil drip is coming from under the passenger side. Very close to the oil pan itself. When I looked up the back of the motor, it was soaked with oil. It's definitely oil. Not transmission (my Camry is a manual) or power steering fluid.

The replacment cam seal has been known to leak as the space limitations make installing correctly more difficult.

Oil pump and crank change should be straight foward.

There are not any other seals under the timing belt cover.

Can you determine if the oil NOT coming from under the timing belt cover?

Typically rear engine oil leaks are from the valve cover, but you replaced this. Try tetorquing the 4 nuts, the gaskets (cover and spark plug tube) compress and the nuts lose torgue.

Here are a few areas of oil leakage, these are not from the back of the engine.

If the engine has an oil cooler, the oil cooler plate below the filter can leak at the O-rings. The cooler has two water coolant hoses running to it. This oil would be under pressure.

Oil pressure sender.

Distributor housing seal, distributor shaft seal.

Rear crank seal.

It is possible for the leak to be from headgasket failure but this rarely happens. Look between the head and block for oil leakage.

After further inspection it is quite possible the leak is power steering fluid. It's very hard to tell the difference between PS fluid & oil. Would the power steering fluid be able to dampen the entire back of the motor?

If possible take a sample of the fluid on the engine.

The PS reservoir cap will have the fluid type used, typically auto trans fluid. This fluid has a differant smell then motor oil and is typically red in color. Compare the sample to the fluid in the reservoir.
